Lemon Loaves and Lots of Loving

Chasie here, my lovely friends,
I am hopping on the keys earlier tonight. Belinda and I had two late nights, and it's catching up with us!
Yesterday she made lots of pastry, then twelve apple pies! Then Peter Burston called to chat on his way home. She had been having a recovery nap but started making lemon loaves while he was talking. She wasn't quite awake and also listening to Peter and she mixed up the recipe. When they cooled off she called them "failed lemon loaves." That means Belinda sliced them up to eat and not sell. Before we went to bed she had a slice with a cup of tea and saved the last tiny piece for me. I LOVE failed lemon loaves!! Now I notice right away when I smell lemon loaf, and I am right there waiting for my little bite!
This morning I helped Mr. Paul with his plans for the day. I stood beside him, supporting him as he worked on his phone. I love helping my people.
Then Belinda had to go to an appointment and grocery shopping. She told me she'd be back. Mr. Paul was home with me but I stood by the front door and waited and waited for Belinda to come home and when she did I gave her my best Chase welcome.
She must love me as much as I love her because she brought home a bag of Filet Mignon Cesar Softees! Don't worry, Peter and Beth, I haven't eaten all the bag that came in my kit--Belinda just thought I'd like a taste of another flavour. Maybe she's spoiling me a little bit! 🐶❤
In the evening we chilled in the chair together for a bit and then I helped her take out the recycling because it's garbage day tomorrow. And then we had a walk around the block. Belinda's got the hang of the harness chase now. She just swoops in expecting me to cooperate, and to both of our surprise, I do!!
There were a lot of adventures today, weren't there?
It will be so good to zip on my furry PJs in a minute!

This is me, waiting patiently for Belinda this morning. When she came down, we went out for a walk. The sun was shining and the purple and white flowers on the bushes made the air smell nice. Because the Burstons were going to church, Belinda decided we’d go around the village instead of around the block. We saw two man-humans working on roofs with their mates down below by their ladders, shouting advice up to them, to “help.” A young human with a blond pony-tail was walking  her German Shepherd. When she saw us coming she crossed the street and straddled him. As we got closer he barked and growled rudely but I paid no attention and just trotted by like the well-behaved dog I am, being a thermostat, not a thermometer. I set the mood in a room, I don’t let other dogs determine my mood. And I know that what you pay attention to increases. I pay attention to petting and treats, heh heh!  :) When we got back to the hotel. Belinda looked at the clock on the wall and said, “Oh, no!”

Breaking News!!!

Chase, here, Lovely Buddies, Well, actually, I had to whisper this post into Belinda's ear, and she is at the screen right now, typing this for me. You'll understand why in a minute. Today started out like any other day at the Bond Head Luxury Pet Hotel. Belinda and I went for a walk in the back yard before she had to leave for church. Belinda spotted a fox, but I didn't see him this time. Instead, she mentioned the word, "Treat," and we both headed inside at a fast trot, leaving the bunnies of Bond Head to wily Mr. Fox. After she came back from church, she called my bluff with the halter and leash again, and as I lay on the rug, she gave a soft tug, opened the door, and I was up and out in a jiffy! Even humans need a tug sometimes to get off the couch and go for a walk! We had just got back when Belinda saw a message on FB. It was from Mom and Dad, Peter and Beth. Hello, My Friends, Chasie here! I can't wait to tell you about my day. The photos aren't in the right order, but I only have paws to use on the keyboard. I think I'm doing very well all things considered. The photo with the rocking chair is when I was waiting patiently for Belinda to finish getting ready this morning. I did my best to help her speed up a little. While she brushed her teeth I licked and exfoliated her feet. I do a good job of getting between the toes. If on ly she'd cooperate-- but she is very ticklish and keeps her toes as tightly together as she can, trying to cover up one foot with the other while laughing hysterically, which does interfere with the toothbrushing--but there's no stopping me--i like to send my people out to the world well groomed because I do love and take pride in them. 🐾 We were out and about in the best part of the day.
